Click. Build. Together. | Coding Activities for Kids & Parents

Turn “Can we make a game?” into something you can try together.

You don’t need to know how to code to begin. You need one small idea, a shared screen, and room to discover what happens next.

Click. Build. Together. guides parents and children through 12 beginner projects in Scratch, using visual blocks instead of typed programming syntax.

Make a character talk, build a tiny sound orchestra, send a delivery across the screen, and create a cooperative three-find game. Along the way, explore sequences, loops, choices, variables, and debugging through projects you can make your own.

Inside your guide:

• 12 guided projects with clear setup instructions and illustrated block recipes.

• Test checklists showing what to try and what should happen.

• Practical troubleshooting and small hints for moments when you get stuck.

• Easier versions and optional stretches for different starting points.

• Gentle prompts for taking turns, sharing ideas, and helping without taking over.

• Reusable planning pages, a test log, and an optional four-week activity plan.
